Here we go,

[tex] \frac{4}{ |p| } + 12 = 14[/tex]

Subtract 12 from both sides,

[tex] \frac{4}{ |p| } + 12 - 12 = 14 - 12 \\ \frac{4}{ |p| } = 2[/tex]

Multiply both sides with |p|

[tex] \frac{4}{ |p| } \times |p| = 2 \times |p | \\ 4 = 2 \times |p| \\ [/tex]
divide both sides with 2

[tex] \frac{4}{2} = \frac{(2 \times |p| )}{2} \\ 2 = |p| [/tex]

Therefore,

|p| equals 2.
