PEACE is associated with the second step in the Coast Guard's ORM process. This step is the "Identify Hazards" step, and comes after the first step which is "Define the mission or task". PEACE stands for: Planning, Event complexity, Asset selection, Communications, and Environmental conditions. This basically involves listing the potential hazards that come with each process or phase of the job. This includes the equipment, environment, and personnel.
