According to Book I of Aeneid, Cupid disguises himself as the son of Aeneas.

Explanation:

‘Aeneid’ is a book written by Virgil. Aeneid consists of a list of twelve books which all are written in a poetic form. All his poetries are based on different themes.

In Book 1 of Aeneid it so happens that Cupid who is the god of lustful desire, gives himself a different identity and appears as Ascanius, who is the son of Aeneas. And he does this so that Dido, who is the queen of Charthage falls in love with Aeneas, the hero.
