Given:

Function:

[tex]f(x)=-2 x^{2}+2 x-3[/tex]

To find:

f(5)

Solution:

[tex]f(x)=-2 x^{2}+2 x-3[/tex]

Substitute x = 5 in the above function.

[tex]f(5)=-2 (5)^{2}+2 (5)-3[/tex]

       [tex]=-2 (25)+10-3[/tex]

       [tex]=-50+10-3[/tex]

       [tex]=-40-3[/tex]

       [tex]=-43[/tex]

Therefore, f(5) = -43.
