You would use equation
tanθ = opposite/adjacent

and assign θ as the 60 , therefore making “z” “opposite” and 5 the “adjacent to the angle.

Then simply sub in and solve for z.

tan 60 = z/5

(5) tan 60 = (5) z/5

5 tan 60 = z

5 √3 feet = z
