1. A real world scenario could look something like this:
A ladder is resting against a straight wall. The distance from the top of the ladder to the bottom of the wall is 8m, while the distance from the base of the wall to the foot of the ladder is 6m. Find the length of the ladder.

3. Use pythagoras theorem to solve it
6^2+8^2=x^2
100=x^2
x=10
So the ladder is 10 m
