This should be because he always sided with the patricians and was ruthless whenever there was need to suppress a plebeian rebellion. He was famous for not trying to help the plebs who were the majority of people. He also won absolute power in the state swiftly and controlled everything, but this didn't last for long because he retired to work on his farm.
