How is the slope of (3,-1), (6,7) equal 8/3

Slope formula is [tex]\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}[/tex]
So 7-(-1)=8 and 6-3=3
Thus the slope of the line is [tex] \frac{8}{3} [/tex]

[tex] m = \frac{ y_{2} - y_{1} }{ x_{2} - x_{1} } = \frac{7 - (-1)}{6 - 3} = \frac{7 + 1}{6 - 3} = \frac{8}{3} [/tex]
The slope of (3, -1) and (6,7) is equal to 8/3 by subtracting 7 and -1 to make it equal to
8 using the slope equation.
