Rate of change is like slope. Change in y/ change in x
First we have to solve for the y.
x^2 -3x -4 when x = 7
7^2 -3(7)-4= 24 (7,24)
x^2-3x-4 when x=10
10^2-3(10)-4= 66 (10,66)

(66-24)/(10-7)
42/3 = 14
