y = -3x + 6 y = 9

You already have your Y value so just substitute 9 in for y in the other equation and solve for x.

y = -3x + 6
y = 9

9 = -3x + 6
Subtract 6 from both sides
3 = -3x
Divide both sides by -3
-1 = x
(-1,9)
