Slope of any given line that passes the points [tex](x_{1} ,y_{1})[/tex] and [tex](x_{2} ,y_{2})[/tex] has a slope of
[tex]slope= \frac{(y_{1}-y_{2})}{(x_{1}-x_{2})} = \frac{(y_{2}-y_{1})}{(x_{2}-x_{1})} [/tex]
so slop of this line will be
[tex]slope = \frac{(-2)-3}{8-7} = \frac{3-(-2)}{7-8}= -5[/tex]
Slope is -5
Hope this helps!
